Get Rich or Die Tryin’

Embrace money as a tool, not a god.

People do crazy things for money. Bank robberies, life insurance schemes, gold diggers, the list goes on and on.

It’s easy to think, “That’s so crazy! What would drive somebody to do that?” But some version of that same craziness is rooted deeply within all of us: an obsessive, all-consuming desire for riches.

We think that desire will be satisfied if we could just get more.

Some have worked their way to the top in terms of net worth, driven by that obsessive desire. So why do we hear stories of rich people battling loneliness, anxiety, and depression?

Because while money can buy a comfortable lifestyle, it cannot buy you peace, joy, or lasting happiness.

If you truly embrace the old adage “get rich or die trying,” you will unfortunately suffer the latter, because nothing you acquire will ever be enough.

King Solomon said something very similar in the book of Ecclesiastes. “Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.”

Money is a tool to reach your goals, not a god to satisfy your heart.

How can you use it well? Let’s talk about that.
